PANO – The Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU), in association with the United Nations Volunteer Program (UNV) launched the National Volunteer Award 2016 on August 1st in Hanoi.

The award aimed to honor outstanding organizations and individuals in voluntary activities for the benefits of the community.

At the launching ceremony

The organizing panel will grant certificates of merit and gifts worth VND 5 million each to 20 outstanding organizations and individuals. Additionally, the panel will present 5 additional prizes (worth VND 1 million each) for the best online selected organization and individual.

Individuals must be Vietnamese citizens aged 15 or older, living in Vietnam and spending at least two years getting involved in voluntary activities across the fields such as health, education, environment, culture, and community development.

Foreign citizens must be 18 years old or above, having spent at least one year working as a volunteer in Vietnam.

The submission time is from October 1st to 31st. The list of contestants will be posted on website www.tinhnguyenquocgia.vn.

The awarding ceremony is scheduled on December 5th in Hanoi in celebration of the International Volunteer Day.
