Ho Chi Minh City’s first green bus route, Saigon-Binh Tay, with 21 buses using Compressed Natural Gas-CNG, will be put into service on August 15th, according to the City’s Department of Transport.
Once operational, the environmentally-friendly buses will cause less air pollution, enhance bus service quality to passengers, and save 30-40% on fuel costs against other buses using gas or oil.
In the upcoming time, the City’s transport service will continuously work closely with relevant agencies to build more CNG stations and green buses.
