PANO – On May 19th, the International Organization of La Francophonie, the Hanoi University and the French Development Agency (FDA) co-held a program to echo the Earth Day.

The program helped Francophone students in Hanoi understand the real situation of our Earth through reports. The reports focused discussion on methods to purify water, the 2030 Program on sustainable development, the creation of functional nano-materials to decompose organic pollutants and sustainable tourism in Vietnam.

On the sidelines of the event, an exhibition, named “60 solutions to cope with climate change” also took place.

The highlight of the event was a recycled fashion show of students of French in Hanoi.

The Earth Day was organized for the first time on July 22nd, 1970. To date, around 500 million people from 184 countries have participated in this event.
