The Hanoi Women’s Union has organised a get-together for more than 90 women who were revolutionaries during the national resistance war and the take-over of Hanoi. This is in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the National Resistance War for National Salvation.

On behalf of Hanoi’s leaders, Mrs Ngo Thi Doan Thanh, municipal party committee deputy secretary and also vice-chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, expressed gratitude and acknowledged the great contributions and sacrifices of these female revolutionaries to the cause of the nation.

The city leader also said that she believed that in the current renewal process, women would continue to take part in economic development, combating corruption and social evils, and make great contributions to the development of the capital city and the country as a whole.
