PANO – The Central Highlands Natural Disaster Relief Fund has recently unveiled a kindergarten, to be used as a place of refuge from natural disasters, in Dai Dong Commune, Dai Loc District, Quang Nam Province.
The two-storey structure, with eight classrooms, is a kindergarten for 450 local children as well as an accommodation for about 300 local residents when they take refuge from the storm and flooding.
The structure was built at a cost VND3.17 billion, including VND2 billion from the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) through the Fund and the remainder from local people and authorities.
Since its foundation in 2009, the Fund has raised a lot of money from sponsors to build 42 community houses in the region.
