Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park in Quang Binh province, in association with the Phong Nha Nature Conservation Project, released 37 rare wild to their natural habitat in belonging to this National Garden on February 17th.

These rare wild animals include the Coc Monkey (Macaca arctoides), the Yellow-forehead Box Turtle (Cuora galbinifrons), the Sa Nhan Turtle (Pyxidea mouhotii), a civet (Paradoxurus hermaphroditus), Paguma larvata, Don (Atherurus macrourus).

Previously, staff of the National Park had carried out considerable research to understand the specific situation of these 37 animals’ daily lives, how they could integrate back into nature and their ability to seek food in the natural environment.

Initial results show that all individuals quickly adapted to the natural habitat in Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park.

Over the past many years, hundreds of rare wild animals have been rescued and released to their natural surroundings to conserve the diversified biology in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park.
