PANO - The Air Defense - Air Force Service (ADAF) held a live-fire exercise for the air force in the whole military in 2023 on July 20 in Thanh Hoa province.

This year, the ADAF required participating units to select young and inexperienced pilots for the exercise to access their mastery of weapons and equipment. The exercise’s requirement was higher than that of previous years and closer to combat situation contents. 

Although the exercise was carried out in unfavorable weather conditions, participating units applied theory to reality and built a concrete firing and bombing plans and methods for troops. As a result, all participating troops achieved good and excellent results.

The exercise’s results accurately reflected the training quality of participating units, troops’ capability of mastering weapons, estimating, operating, and handling situations, as well as the stance of flight commanders and pilots.

Also, it will be a basis for the ADAF to direct its units to improve the training quality and combat competence, as well as ensuring flight safety to meet task requirements in the new period.
