PANO - The Air Defense - Air Force Service is organizing a military air traffic control competition and a live-fire exercise for troops of Regiment 923 under Division 371 in Tho Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province.

The five-day event, which started on July 16, aims to enhance the command capability as well as coordination among officers at the regiment level in the whole service.

The exercise is also an opportunity to evaluate the work of ensuring aviation engineering, technical and logistics supplies at airports, and communication for combat training and combat missions.

In addition, the event is to check the capabilities of navigation teams at the command post and radar station, pilots’ ability to detect and intercept targets, as well as helicopter crews’ calculation and estimation skills. 

It offers an opportunity for participating units to evaluate their training quality, air safety, and implementation of air traffic control work, thus having measures to raise troops’ capability to meet mission requirements in the new period.
