PANO - With a significant scale of participants and equipment, the Competency Evaluation Program for Prospective U.N. Peacekeepers (CEPPP), co-hosted by Vietnam and Japan for the first time under the framework of the ASEAN Defense Ministers’ Meeting Plus (ADMM-Plus) Experts’ Working Group on Peacekeeping Operations (EWG-PKO) Cycle 4, held from September 13 to 21, was a remarkable event.
The exercise included both theoretical training activities and practical simulations on the United Nations' peacekeeping mission, with a highlight being the joint training of three forces: Military observers, engineers, and medical personnel.
The participating forces comprised 367 individuals from 18 ADMM-Plus member countries, including 175 international experts, instructors, trainees and observers and 34 Vietnamese counterparts.
