At the seminar, Vinh briefed participants on Vietnam's socio-economic development after 35 years of renewal, as well as issues related to sustainable development in the country.

He underlined Vietnam’s solutions to successfully implement 17 sustainable development goals set in 2020, while giving a number of examples on Vietnam's development policies, including those on international integration and deep engagement in the international market.

Participants showed interest in Vietnam’s economic development strategy amid COVID-19 pandemic as well as the country’s implementation of free trade agreements, commitments and initiatives in climate change response, and contributions by Vietnamese communities abroad to the homeland's economic development and sustainable growth.

Ambassador Vinh said that on the foundation of the sound traditional friendship between the two countries, Vietnam is willing to share its experience with Algeria, thus further strengthening bilateral ties in all fields for the development of both sides and benefit of people in both countries.

In a meeting with the university's Principal Major General Noureddine Khaloui, Vinh expressed his impression at the training program and infrastructure system of the university, which train officers for the Algeria People’s Army.

The Vietnamese diplomat said he hoped Vietnam and Algeria will build and maintain many cooperation and exchange programs in the field of defense and other areas.

For his part, Khaloui highlighted the sound traditional friendship between Vietnam and Algeria, affirming that Algeria highly valued Vietnam’s success in socio-economic development, considering it as a sustainable growth model.
