PANO – The Government has issued a decree to allow Vietnamese expatriates, their spouses and children to enter Vietnam without visas.

They are required to have passports or international travel papers that are valid for at least one year, and submit their identification papers to Vietnam's representative agencies abroad.

Those who are provisionally residing in Vietnam can hand in a request for the visa-free status to the Immigration Department under the Ministry of Public Security.

Visa exemption papers, valid for a maximum of five years, will be attached into or issued separately from passports.
