After 70 years of upheaval, Vietnam has earned important achievements in its cause of national construction and defence, firmly safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity. Practicing the foreign policy of diversification and multilateralization, Vietnam has been playing an increasingly dynamic and responsible role in solving global and regional issues, including joining the UN peacekeeping operations. At present, Vietnam has dispatched 3 staff officers to MINUSCA and 2 liaison officers to United Nations Mission In South Sudan (UNMISS). In the coming time, Vietnam will send a level-2 field hospital and a military engineer company to UN peacekeeping missions.
