In 2016, the steering committees at all levels worked with socio-political organizations and individuals to carry out the project and found 566 sets of remains of war martyrs, of which 108 were verified.

Along with their major mission of searching and collecting martyrs' remains in Cambodia, search and collection teams (K teams) also provided free health checkups and medicines to 3,358 Cambodians and presented gifts to Cambodian pagodas and army units, worth nearly VND 2 billion.

At the conference, delegates pointed out good results as well as shortcomings and difficulties in carrying their tasks, and proposed solutions to the MR7 Command with the aim to better implement the project in 2017.

On this occasion, MR7 presented certificates of merit to 27 outstanding groups and 44 individuals.
