Due to bad weather conditions, high waves and strong winds, coast guard ship 8005 with the delegation on board could not approach on-duty ships. Thus, the delegation inspected and grasped situations of coast guard ships 4035, 6009 and fisheries surveillance ships 276, 213, and Ship 96029TS via a communication system.
Crew-members on these ships demonstrated their determination to overcome all difficulties, complete all assignments, stay united and feel at ease to perform their duties. They were all in good health conditions.

Gen. Oai asked Party Committees and Chains-of-Commands of ships to continue coordinating with field forces to accomplish their missions and make good preparations for a joyful, warm lunar New Year (Tet) holiday for troops with high combat readiness and absolute safety in all aspects.
The delegation released Tet gifts, including peach and apricot blossoms, Tet greetings cards, and other necessaries for Tet, on the sea to ships.

During their trip, the delegation inspected five trawlers and concluded that they well observed anti-IUU fishing regulations and fishermen on board were fully aware of the regulations.
The delegation later inspected combat readiness status and preparations for Tet of Coast Guard Station 4 under the Coast Guard Region 4 Command, Naval Squadron 33 under the Coast Guard Region 3 Command, the Command of Coast Guard Region 3, the Drug Crime Prevention and Control Special Unit No.3 and Reconnaissance Unit No.2.

Gen. Oai highly evaluated the efforts and task completion of the units. He requested them to promote the attainments, strictly observe combat readiness regulations, enhance inspection and management of discipline, ensure smooth communications, organize a warm, joyful, safe, healthy Tet for troops to encourage them to fulfill their tasks in the year.

In their journey, the delegation also disseminated laws, presented national flags and Tet gifts to trawlers and fishermen anchoring in Tho Chu island area in Phu Quoc city, Kien Giang province, and in Con Dao island area in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. They also visited and extended Tet greetings to local leaders and authorities, some units under Military Region 9, and local policy beneficiary families.
