More support for AO victims in Lam Dong
PANO - On October 16, a mission from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange (AO)/Dioxin (VAVA) held a meeting in Lam Dong province to assess its affiliate’s activities in 2025 and to provide livelihood support and gifts to local AO victims.
At the event, Major General Do Hong Lam, Permanent Vice President of VAVA Central Committee and head of the mission, highly praised the Lam Dong Provincial Association for AO Victims for its pro-activeness, great efforts and suggestions on personnel organization and maintenance of operations.

Despite many challenges, it has effectively mobilized resources to care for and support AO victims and operated effectively. Since early 2025, the association has raised over VND 10.3 billion in cash and in kind to assist AO victims.
Gen Lam urged the provincial Party Committee, authorities, and local departments to continue supporting and facilitating the activities of associations for AO victims at all levels in accordance with new circumstances.
He called on the Standing Board of the Lam Dong Provincial Association for AO victims to uphold solidarity, unity, responsibility, and compassion for the victims. He noted that upon receiving higher-level decisions on organizational and personnel matters, the association should promptly and strictly implement them in line with regulations.
He also emphasized the importance of mobilizing resources to care for AO victims, especially during the upcoming year-end and Lunar New Year.

Presenting gifts and livelihood support to AO victims |
At the event, the VAVA Central Committee presented 50 gifts and four livelihood support packages to AO victims, and other gifts to the Bao Loc center for AO victims and children with disabilities. The total value of the gifts and livelihood support was VND 150 million.
