Meaningful gifts to flood-affected people
PANO - More than 200 troops of Division 315 (Military Region 5) were mobilized on November 18 to help local people overcome the consequences of floods and stabilize their lives.
The armed forces of Military Region 5 continue to reinforce eroded riverbank sections, build new temporary settlement areas with basic living conditions for flood-hit people, clean up the environment, and present gifts to policy families affected by flooding.
Earlier, hundreds of officers and soldiers of the Military Command of Nam Tra My district, in association with militiamen and local authorities built temporary houses, toilet systems, installed water treatment systems, repaired electrical lines, and helped people stabilize their lives.
As of November 18, the armed forces of Nam Tra My district have built 35 temporary houses to help local people.

* Troops from Air Force Division 372 of the Air Defense - Air Force Service and the Quang Nam provincial Youth Union Committee on November 18 presented gifts to flood-hit people.
During the event, representatives of Air Force Division 372 gave 20 gifts, worth VND 1 million each, and 1.5 tons of goods to poor people in Village 1 in Tra Don commune, youth union members in Nam Tra My district, and ethnic minority primary students.
The event was held from November 18 to 20 in the communes of Tra Leng and Tra Don to help local people overcome natural disaster consequences. Various activities such as presenting gifts to storm- and flood-affected people, repairing houses, and providing free health check-ups and medicines have been held during the event.
