General Staff’s leader offers gifts to policy families in Nam Dinh
PANO - A delegation of the Ministry of National Defense, led by Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and Deputy Defense Minister, conducted a gratitude program in Nam Truc district, Nam Dinh province on July 26.
The event was held in celebration of the 73rd War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27).
During the visit, the delegation offered incense and wreaths at the Nam Truc District War Memorial and the Hong Quang Commune War Cemetery to commemorate fallen soldiers, who sacrificed for national independence and freedom.

On behalf of the delegation, General Giang asked the local Party Committee and authorities and people to take care of war cemeteries.
The delegates also attended an inauguration ceremony for the first phase of the construction of “Victory Monument” in Lac Dao ward, Hong Quang commune.
At the Hong Quang Commune People’s Committee, General Giang inquired after families of war invalids, wounded and sick soldiers, Agent Orange (AO/Dixoin) victims, and former volunteer youths in the locality. He said that he hopes that the policy beneficiaries will strive to overcome hardships and persuade their family members to closely follow the Party’s guidelines and State’s laws.
