According to General Thang, during the program, military medical doctors presented gifts and provided free health check-ups and medicines to local people. In addition, the mission instructed locals how to avoid infectious diseases.

Thang affirmed that these activities aimed to encourage the local leadership and people in flood-hit localities to overcome natural disaster consequences and soon recover their normal lives.

Colonel Ha Huy Duong, Deputy Chief of the General Planning Department of Military Hospital 354 under the General Department of Logistics, said that on November 1 and 2, the mission gave free health check-ups and presented more than 1,000 common disease medicine units to local people. In addition, personnel of a preventive medicine team also sterilized local hospitals, schools, and houses of local people, especially needy families, policy beneficiaries, and national contributors.

He affirmed that all members of the team heightened their sense of responsibility for caring for local people’s health.
