PANO - Various military units on January 15 gave presents to policy beneficiaries, families of fallen soldiers, and needy students.

A gift presented to mother Do Thi Nu |
In Dien Bien Phu city, a delegation from the Military Region 2 Command, led by Major General Pham Duc Duyen, Deputy-Political Commissar of the region, presented gifts to mothers Do Thi Suu and Do Thi Nu whose only sons Nguyen Dinh Thi and Ngo Dao Thien sacrificed their lives while doing international service in Laos.
Gen. Duyen wished the mothers good health and encouraged them and their relatives to continue bringing into full play the tradition of the revolution, well implementing the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies, contributing to the local socio-economic development and happy lives.
Last year, the command funded six households in Dien Bien province with VND 18 million to overcome consequences of flooding and upgraded the local war cemetery at a cost of VND 620 million.

Students with good academic records receive presents |
* The People’s Army Newspaper’s representative office in Can Tho city cooperated with a branch of Prudential Vietnam in the city handed over 40 gifts to students from Ngai Tu A Secondary School in Vinh Long province with good academic records in the first term of the 2017-2018 academic year.
Earlier, the office presented notebooks and rice to needy students of the school.
* On January 14, a medical team from the Border Station of Long Binh Border Gate and Bac Dai Border Post under An Giang Provincial Border Guard and other units provided free health checkups and medicine to 200 people in An Phu district, An Giang province and gifted 120 women and children in needy in Long Binh town and three communes of Khanh An, Khanh Binh and Nhon Hoi in An Phu district.
