Gen. Hao was member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee, former Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Discipline Inspection Commission, former Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, former Deputy Defense Minister and former Minister of Invalids and Social Affairs (present Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs).

Under the project, a scientific seminar on the general, a incense and flower offering ceremony, film screenings, an exhibition on images, objects and works closely attached to the general and writings about the general will be organized.

Such activities are to pay homage to, honor and express a token of gratitude to Gen. Hao and his contributions.

It also aims to popularize the general’s life, career, contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party, nation and army and to inspire troops, especially young ones, to further study and follow the general’s examples.

Relevant units are required to organize such activities solemnly with practical and effective outcomes and in a close link with activities to mark the 72nd anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2) and to effectively implement the fourth resolution of the 12th Party Central Committee on enhancing Party building and revamping, Politburo’s Directive No.05 and Standing Board of the Central Military Commission’s Directive 87 on boosting studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morals and lifestyle.
