Pre-deployment training for members of L2FH Rotation 5 kicked off
PANO - The Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations (VNDPKO) and Military Hospital 175 under the Ministry of National Defense opened a pre-deployment training course on January 9 for members of Level-2 Field Hospital (L2FH) Rotation 5 in preparation for their participation in United Nations peacekeeping operations in 2023.

The event was attended by VNDPKO’s Deputy Director Senior Colonel Nguyen Ba Hung and Deputy Director of Military Hospital 175 Colonel Bui Duc Thanh.
During the training course, members of the field hospital will be equipped with basic knowledge about the United Nations, U.N. peacekeeping operations, and necessary skills to carry out professional peacekeeping tasks at the mission. The course will prepare the field hospital’s members to successfully complete tasks assigned by the Ministry of National Defense.

In the coming time, participants will also be provided with steps to prepare and operate a level-2 field hospital; basic skills in conducting peacekeeping operations and learning about local situation; coordination, command, management, and practice methods to meet set requirements while performing tasks at the mission.
Notably, this practice and coordination activity of doctors and staff in operating and deploying level-two field hospital will help improve their ability to perform field tasks at the U.N. mission.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, VNDPKO’s Deputy Director Senior Colonel Nguyen Ba Hung asked the organizing panel to strictly follow the course’ contents to ensure its quality and equip participants with knowledge and essential experience. He urged participants to maintain strict discipline, uphold unity, and support each other to complete tasks.
As scheduled, the pre-deployment training course will run until March.
