NDA opens defense-security courses
PANO - The National Defense Academy (NDA) of Vietnam opened the 64th refresher course on defense-security; the 40th short-term staff and command course at operational and strategic levels; the 35th short-term advanced course on local defense; and the 17th short-term staff and command course at operational and strategic levels (for General Department II).

Trainees of the courses will go over contents, including defense strategies relating to Vietnam’s defense-security; Party’s leadership and State’s management over the defense-security mission; foreign relations in attachment to defense-security maintenance in the new period; Vietnam’s military strategy in the national protection war; and more.
These are important contents to equip trainees with knowledge of strategic forecast; staff and command capacity and organization of military, defense and security missions; contributing to building a firm whole-people defense disposition, ensuring a peaceful and stable environment for the development of the country.
Addressing the opening ceremony of the courses, Lieutenant General Do Can, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army hailed achievements of the NDA in training over the past time and asked relevant ministries and sectors to coordinate more closely with the NDA to facilitate the training of the institution, fulfilling assigned missions. Gen. Can required that trainees should show high responsibility in learning during the courses so as to best apply the learnt knowledge to their work later.
