Naval service maps out Covid-19 prevention
PANO – The steering board for prevention and control of the novel coronavirus disease (Covid-19) under the Vietnam People’s Navy (VPN) held a meeting to review task performance and work out further missions in Hai Phong city on February 26.
According to a report, over the past time, the board and other affiliated units of the service have paid due attention to carrying out measures to cope with the disease while raising troops’ awareness of and responsibility in preventing the disease.
The VPN has reported zero Covid-19-contracting cases as of February 25.

Also at the event, delegates pointed out shortcomings need fixing in the time to come, given the complicated developments of the disease in the region and the world.
In his conclusion, Rear Admiral Luong Viet Hung, Deputy Chief of the VPN and head of the board, urged all naval units to continue to take drastic measures to prevent the Covid-19.
He tasked the service’s military medical sector to closely follow the disease situations, actively disseminate information about Covid-19 prevention, and purchase specialized equipment to prevent the disease.
Meanwhile, the VPN’s units should seriously observe directives and instructions from the Defense Ministry and the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army on prevention and control of the Covid-19, while promptly commending outstanding collectives and individuals in implementing the work.
