Naval Region 4’s troops vaccinated against COVID-19
PANO – Naval Region 4 on August 5 conducted a COVID-19 vaccination drive for its naval troops and other forces on duty at Cam Ranh Base.
Since the new COVID-19 cases were reported in the community in Khanh Hoa province, the Naval Region 4 Command has required its affiliated units to give COVID-19 vaccine shots to forces performing tasks in areas with high risks of infection, including medical staff, on-duty troops in quarantine areas, the naval force guarding at the base, drivers, and troops transporting food and so on.

Under the instruction of the command, doctors and nurses from Treatment Team 486 of the Logistics Department under Naval Region 4 have been well-prepared to ensure the success of the vaccination program.
In particular, before inoculations, screenings are conducted. After the shots, troops’ health is monitored and special equipment is prepared to deal with cases with side effects in an effective manner. All the procedures are in line with the Health Ministry’s regulations.

As scheduled, almost all troops from Naval Region 4’s affiliated units will get vaccinated against COVID-19 by August 18.
