In addition, the MND will also hand over COVID-19 rapid testing machines, which are able to test 400 samples per day, to the region, he added.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang Municipal People’s Committee Le Trung Chinh said that the city has mobilized forces and vehicles and taken measures to deal with the pandemic. The city’s response to the disease will definitely be enhanced since it has received assistance from the MND and Military Region 5, he noted. The official went on to stress that the rapid tests will help local forces control and prevent the disease more effectively.

Speaking at the event, General Cang approved a proposal by the Da Nang Municipal Military Command to mobilize militiamen and other forces to trace close contacts of COVID-19 cases. He hoped that the MND will continue supporting the military region to help them improve their capabilities for pandemic prevention and control.
