Present at the event were Senior Colonel Nguyen Cong Son, Naval Region 4’s Deputy Commissar, and troops who will undertake assignments on Truong Sa (Spratly) Islands.

At the program, the Youth Club for National Sea and Islands and Khanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union handed over gifts to troops on Truong Sa Islands.

According to Tran Vu Thanh, Head of the youth club, the unit received 3,600 Tet gifts from people across the country for troops in action on Spratly Islands, DK1 platforms and the Southwestern islands.

Colonel Luong Xuan Giap, Brigade 146’s Deputy Political Commissar, said that this year’s gifts are specialties from regions across the country.

These meaningful gifts reflect sentiment of the mainland people and help encourage troops of Brigade 146 as well as other forces on Truong Sa Islands to fulfill their assignments.
