During the visit, General Can inquired after the health and living conditions of policy families and those who had rendered good service to the nation. Can affirmed that the Party, State, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and society in general have over the past time paid due attention to carrying out various gratitude activities for wounded and fallen soldiers, national contributors, and troops’ families.
The Deputy Chief of the General Department of Politics hoped that policy beneficiaries and national contributors will uphold their good tradition _ and overcome difficulties to build happy families, while also contributing to local socio-economic development.

Earlier, the mission laid a wreath and offered incense at the Martyrs’ Cemetery of Tien Giang province in commemoration of fallen soldiers. In a respectful atmosphere, delegates expressed their gratitude to fallen soldiers for their great contributions and sacrifices during the resistance war for national salvation, Southwestern border defense war, and international service missions.
* The same day, the mission visited and presented gifts to wounded soldiers, families of fallen soldiers, and national contributors in Con Dao district of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.
On behalf of leaders of the Ministry of National Defense and the General Department of Politics, General Can inquired after their health and living conditions and expressed great gratitude for the sacrifices and contributions of policy beneficiaries to the national liberation and reunification cause.
Can said the Party, State, and Military will further promote activities to support policy beneficiaries and national contributors and hoped that they will forever be a bright example for younger generations to follow.
On the occasion, leaders of the Military Region 7 Command and the Ba Ria-Vung Tau provincial Military Command presented gifts to policy beneficiaries.
The mission also laid a wreath and offered incense in commemoration of fallen soldiers at the Hang Duong Cemetery and visited the Con Dao Prison Relic. They promised to study the patriotism and indomitable spirit of heroes, fallen soldiers, and revolutionaries who were detained in the prison and brutally tortured by the enemy.
