Defense leaders award outstanding military athletes at SEA Games 32. 

SEA Games 32 officially took place from May 5 to 17 in Cambodia, bringing together about 12,500 participants from 11 Southeast Asian countries. In the end, the Vietnam sports delegation achieved first place, with military athletes competing in 21 out of 37 sports events and winning 45 medals of various types, including 17 gold, 10 silver, and 18 bronze medals, breaking two SEA Games records.

At the ceremony, Mr. Dang Ha Viet, who is also the Head of the Vietnam Sports Delegation at SEA Games 32, expressed high appreciation for the members of the military sports delegation, highlighting their discipline, resilience, and excellent fulfillment of the tasks set for SEA Games 32.

On behalf of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, Chief of the General Staff and Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong praised and congratulated the excellent achievements of the military coaches and athletes at SEA Games 32. He emphasized, "At SEA Games 32, the military sports delegation consisted of 76 coaches and athletes. Throughout the preparation and competition process, our coaches and athletes demonstrated strong determination, national pride, and the noble qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the field of sports, always be united, resolute, and competing with integrity and magnanimity, for the honor of our nation's flag and uniform."

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong requested that the coaches continue to study, research, and enhance their professional qualifications, organize athlete training rigorously, systematically, and scientifically. The athletes must train diligently, actively, and regularly to achieve new records. It is necessary to strictly plan for the overall development of physical training and sports in the military, including high-performance sports.

In recognition of the outstanding achievements of the military sports delegation at SEA Games 32, the Minister of National Defense presented Certificates of Commendation to 13 teams for their excellent performance in guidance, organization of training, and participation in the event. The Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army awarded certificates of commendation to 11 teams for their outstanding performance in organization of training and participation in SEA Games 32. The Ministry of National Defense awarded cash rewards to coaches and athletes who won medals as follows: VND 45 million for each gold medal, VND 25 million for each silver medal, VND 20 million for each bronze medal, and VND 20 million for each SEA Games record.
