Meanwhile, they also popularized COVID-19 prevention and control measures and improved people’s awareness of the work via panels, posters, and slogans at border gates and in military units.

Reportedly, border posts in the areas sent 380 troops to help local residents clean up the environment and offer more than 10,000 free face masks to travelers.

Currently, the Long An provincial Border Guard Command is managing 36 checkpoints and 16 mobile teams to strictly control the borderline.

On this occasion, the delegation also visited COVID-19 prevention and control checkpoints in Long Khot and Song Trang Border Posts and the Border Post of the My Quy Tay International Border Gate.

During the inspection, Senior Colonel Tran Ngoc Huu acknowledged and hailed great efforts of troops on duty at border areas, encouraging them to overcome difficulties so as to ensure absolute security along the borderline.
