Chung cakes presented to MR2’s troops in Phu Ninh district

On the last days of December 2022, despite freezing cold and rainy weather, Commando Battalion 19 of MR2’s Staff Department, Battalion 2 of Anti-aircraft Artillery Brigade 297 under MR2, and the trade unions of Phu Ninh district’s agencies and mass organizations jointly organized a Chung cake making contest for their troops.

According to Head of the Phu Ninh district Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization Nguyen Minh Quan, sharing with difficulties of officers and soldiers on-duty in the upcoming Tet holiday, the trade unions of Phu Ninh district’s agencies and mass organizations prepared 300 kilograms of sticky rice, 60 kilograms of green beans, 70 kilograms of pork to make around 300 Chung cakes for troops.

Major Hoang Nguyen Duc Long, a political officer of Battalion 2, Anti-aircraft Artillery Brigade 297, shared that the unit drew up concrete plans to ensure the material and spiritual lives of troops during the upcoming lunar New Year 2023.

He expressed his delight at receiving 100 pairs of Chung cakes from the trade unions of Phu Ninh district’s agencies and mass organizations for the New Year holiday. These Chung cakes were added to daily meals for troops.
