Nguyen Trong Nghia congratulates Hospital 19-8’s doctors, nurses, and staff on the day.

At the meeting with the hospitals’ officials and medical staff, Nguyen Trong Nghia extended his congratulations and lauded the units for their achievements. He also mentioned key issues in the health sector raised by Party General Secretary To Lam at his working session with the Health Ministry on February 24, emphasizing the need to innovate thinking in order to develop Vietnam's health sector in the new era. He advised both hospitals to focus on enhancing medical ethics, developing high-quality human resources, fostering science and technology application, integrating internationally, and strengthening the grassroots healthcare system to ensure the health of the people.

He expressed his hope that the hospitals’ medical staff would continue to strive to improve their professional expertise and work ethics and uphold the glorious traditions of the units, contributing to the development of Vietnam’s health sector to better meet the people’s needs.

The same day, Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Vu Hai San visited the Military Institute of Traditional Medicine and Hospital 354 under the General Department of Logistics and Technical Services, during which he praised the two units’ obtained results and affirmed the important role of the health sector in the Fatherland construction and defense cause. 

The defense leader said that over the past time the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense have paid attention to and created favorable conditions for the development of the military medical sector. He asked the two units’ officials, health workers, and staff to continue promoting traditions and achievements; enhance studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and style, carrying out emulation movements; better take care of troops and the people’s health.

Sr. Lt. Gen. Vu Hai San congratulates Military Hospital 354.

Also on February 25, Le Huu Trac National Burn Hospital held a ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Vietnamese Doctors' Day. Last year, the hospital well carried out training, treatment, scientific research, and international cooperation missions. The hospital organized many practical activities to mark the 60th anniversary of its foundation day and was awarded the Second-class Labor Order by the President. Thanks to higher level’s care and efforts from its health workers, the hospital successfully fulfilled assigned missions, deserving to be a leading military medical establishment in treating burns.

The Vietnam People’s Navy also held a meeting to mark the Vietnamese Doctors’ Day and honor outstanding doctors and nurses in the 2020-2025 period. At the event, the service handed over 52 certificates of merit and 27 commendations to military medical workers with outstanding achievements in the period.
