The Cambodian head delegate, General Mam Sophat, chief of the Cambodian Legislative Department briefed the Vietnamese general of the results of its meetings with the Department of Legislation and related agencies of the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam. These meetings helped the Cambodian guests learn from Vietnam’s experience in the building of the Law on Army Officers, the system of military courts, and more. This is the first time the two legislative bodies of the two armies have exchanged their expertise.
The Vietnamese general highly appreciated the results of the meetings and affirmed that leaders of the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam as well as the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army would always provide most favorable conditions for the two departments of Vietnam’s and Cambodia’s armies to meet and exchange experience.
