Vietnam to make positive contributions to IISS Shangri-La Dialogue 2019
PANO – Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh, Deputy Minister of National Defense hosted a reception on May 16 at the Headquarters of the Defense Ministry for Tim Huxley, Executive Director of the International Institute for Strategic Studies-Asia based in Singapore.
At the meeting, the guest briefed the host on the IISS Shangri-La Dialogue 2019’s agenda, saying that13 defense ministers will deliver speeches at the event.

Highly appreciating the role of Vietnam in previous editions of the dialogue over the past years, the IISS Asia Executive Director affirmed that Vietnam’s participation will contribute to the success of the event as well as to regional and global peace.
General Vinh stressed that Vietnam has always supported and will make positive contributions to the upcoming dialogue. He also spoke highly of the role of the IISS Shangri-La Dialogue and the topics which will be put on the table during the upcoming event.
