Present at the event were Standing Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh; Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh, Deputy Defense Minister, Head of the Vietnam inter-sectoral working group, and Head of the Defense Ministry’s Steering Committee on Vietnam’s participation in UN peacekeeping operations; Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; and representatives from relevant ministries and sectors.

At the ceremony, Mr. Binh presented the Fatherland Protection Order of the State President to the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations (VNDPKO), VNDPKO Director, Major General Hoang Kim Phung, and the Level-2 Field Hospital (L2FH) Rotation 1.
Military Hospital 175 and the Director of the L2FH Rotation 1 Bui Duc Thanh were also presented with certificates of merit from the Prime Minister.
Military Hospital 175's emergency department and five doctors of the hospital and the L2FH Rotation 1 were awarded the certificates of merit from the Ministry of National Defense.

Addressing the ceremony, Binh praised the outstanding achievements of the Level-2 Field Hospital (L2FH) Rotation 1 and expressed his delight that all troops of the L2FH Rotation 1 have returned home safely after performing their duty at the UN Mission in South Sudan.
"The troops upheld and promoted the beautiful image of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the eyes of international friends and people of the host country," he added.

After more than 12 months since officially taking over the field hospital from the U.K. in Bentiu, the L2FH Rotation 1 received and treated about 2,022 patients and successfully airlifted seven patients to higher-level hospitals. Officials of the UN peacekeeping mission highly valued the hospital’s professional skills, treatment quality and service attitude.
Every month, the L2FH Rotation 1 conducted an assessment of patient satisfaction. Accordingly, the result of satisfaction level was always from 94 to 100 percent.
