PANO – Senior Lieutenant General Truong Quang Khanh, Deputy Minister of National Defence, received Dutch Ambassador to Vietnam Nienke Trooster on March 5th.
At the reception, the host held that Vietnam and the Netherlands are the maritime countries, so that they should uphold and share their experience on each side’s strength, including defence industry.

He hoped that the Netherlands would help Vietnam develop the shipbuilding industry and grow a qualified human resource, carry out UN peacekeeping operations, surmount the post-war unexploded ordnances, and cope with climate change.
For her part, the Dutch Ambassador believed the two countries would maintain and bring into play their traditional cooperation ties, especially the bilateral defence cooperation.
