Lieutenant General Vo Van Tuan receiving Brigadier General Gunasekara |
This was underlined by Brigadier General Gunasekara, Rector of the Southern Campus of the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU), at a meeting with Lieutenant General Vo Van Tuan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army in Hanoi on November 24th.
The reception for the KDU mission also saw the participation of Sri Lankan Ambassador to Vietnam Ms. H.U.Pissanayake.
Lieutenant General Vo Van Tuan highly valued the delegation’s visit to Vietnam, appreciated the support of Sri Lanka during Vietnam’s national resistance wars against foreign invaders, and hoped that the two sides would deepen their cooperation under agreements reached by their Defence Ministries.
