Newspapers in Thailand and Japan have said that Vietnam's new-look cabinet, elected at the on-going 12th National Assembly's first session, would be capable of fulfilling the tasks.
Thailand's Manager Daily said that the appointment of two new deputy prime ministers in charge of economic development and social and cultural affairs as well as the merge of some ministries and branches is a new signal in the Southeast Asian country's on-going renewal process. The paper said that 10 new comers in the 22-member cabinet represent a breath of fresh air in the government.
Japan's Asahi and Yomiuri newspapers stated that the Vietnamese National Assembly's approval of new cabinet will help boost the country's economic renewal programmes.
Meanwhile, British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) said that Vietnam's National Assembly has approved a cabinet relatively young with only three of its members being over 60 years of age while the youngest member is only 48 years old.
