PANO – Angolan Ambassador to Vietnam Joao Manuel Bernardo on November 4th held a meeting with the press in Hanoi on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Angolan national day and the anniversary of 40 years of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Angola and Vietnam (November 12th 1975).

Affirming the fine development of the Vietnam-Angola relations in recent years, the Angolan Ambassador stressed that the two countries have great potential for cooperation that can be further tapped, especially in trade, agriculture, telecommunications, and energy.

Angola always warmly welcomes skilled Vietnamese labourers to the country, working in the engineering, service, and processing industries. He also called on Vietnam to set up businesses in Angola. Speaking highly of Vietnam’s development experience, the Angolan ambassador expressed his country’s wish to expand cooperation with Vietnam in all fields so as to diversify its production and increase its budget revenue.

On this occasion, the ambassador announced that sports exchange activities will take place in Hanoi. The 40th anniversary of the Angolan national day and the celebration of 40 years of the Vietnam-Angola bilateral diplomatic relations will be held on November 11th in Hanoi.
