The Republic of Korea’s institute of quality testing and research handed over a set of scientific equipment for Da Lat University in the Central Highland province of Lam Dong on December 28.

The equipment worth 7.6 billion VND (334,400 USD) will be used for teaching and studying chemistry, environment, soil, agriculture, heavy or toxic metal analysis, and material science.

The Korean institute will continue to aid 17 more sets of scientific equipment for the Vietnamese university in the next five years as part of a bilateral cooperation programme financed by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA).

It has two branches, one in Hanoi and another in Ho Chi Minh City.

Over the past few years, Da Lat University has forged numerous training and research collaboration programmes with Korean organisations, including the institute of quality testing and research.
