PANO - Twenty five visiting cadres and troops from the Lao Border Guards on September 30th voluntarily helped people in Ha Tinh province deal with Storm No. 10 (Wutip).

The Lao friends are taking part in a training course on experience exchange and expertise improvement at the provincial Border Guard Command.

According to Ha Tinh Border Guard Command’s chief, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Vo Trong Hai, head of the Lao delegation Captain Alinha Lo Muong, an assistant at the Mapping Border Department of Bolikhamxay Provincial Military Command, proposed support for local people in coastal areas dealing with the development of Storm No. 10.

They teamed up with local border guards to assist people on Loc Ha Beach, Thach Kim and Thang Bang communes in preparing their houses, boats and reinforcing dykes.

The good deed of the Lao border guards helped strengthen the solidarity and relations between the two countries.
