The article titled "How Vietnam is winning its 'war' on coronavirus" from the German Broadcaster Deutsche Welle (DW) said that when the disease was still confined to China and had not yet spread globally, the Vietnamese Government immediately took drastic measures to prevent the disease from spreading. The article cites an example when all of the people in Son Loi commune, Binh Xuyen district, Vinh Phuc province, were quarantined to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in early February.

According to the article, the Vietnamese Government also thoroughly checked and monitored those who tested positive for coronavirus and their relatives. All of them were also placed under strict travel restrictions. The article stresses that anyone who enters Vietnam from pandemic-affected countries is quarantined for 14 days. It also mentions how schools across the country have been closed since the beginning of February, while the military has actively mobilized forces and vehicles to prevent the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.

The article reminded readers of Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s instructions in asking all agencies, industries, and provincial and municipal People’s Committees to control the disease. "This is evidence that expresses the spirit of solidarity among Vietnamese people in coping with challenges and overcoming difficulties," DW added.

DW also noted the outstanding example of Ghen Co Vy, a song that aims to increase awareness of preventing the spread of COVID-19.

"So far, Vietnam has done very well in the fight against COVID-19," the article read.

Meanwhile, the world's leading global business publication, the Financial Times, said that the State media and press have continuously updated information about the Government's messages in the fight against COVID-19. The Vietnamese Ministry of Health also regularly sends messages via smartphones to help people stay updated with disease information.

The Financial Times cited a recent survey by Nielsen Vietnam that Vietnamese people were "highly aware" of the symptoms of the Covid-19 disease. "The government's efforts to deal with Covid-19 have received the support of most people," the Financial Times said.

In an interview with the Sputnik news agency and radio (Russia), Russian expert Natalya Nikokosheva, who has lived in Ho Chi Minh City for 16 years, said that in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Government of Vietnam has implemented a series of "social distancing" measures such as cancelling public events and closing schools.

Sputnik also quoted Natalya Nikokosheva's opinion, assessing that the Vietnamese Government has taken "fast and right" actions in Covid-19 prevention and control. "It is no coincidence that the World Health Organization (WHO) considers Vietnam an exemplary model in preventing the disease," she added.
