At the meeting, VUFO President Nguyen Phuong Nga briefed Mrs. Poldi Sosa Schmidt on the development of the networks of VUFO's member organizations and partners as well as major activities held by VUFO over past time and its plan on activities in the coming time.

Noting the efforts of Mrs. Poldi Sosa Schmidt in particular and AVCI in general in introducing and promoting the history, culture, country, and people of Vietnam to the Argentina people in recent years, VUFO President Nguyen Phuong Nga said that in the coming time the two sides should promote friendship exchange activities and meetings to contribute to enhancing understanding between the two countries. 

Mrs. Poldi Sosa Schmidt has many year-attachment to Vietnam. From a young age, she regularly participated in movements against the war in Vietnam. She is the founder of AVCI and holds the position of President to this day, creating a bridge to promote friendship and solidarity with the Vietnamese people as well as accelerating activities to popularize Vietnam, its culture and people to Argentina friends.

Also at the meeting, President Nguyen Phuong Nga presented VUFO’s Certificate of Merit to Mrs. Poldi Sosa Schmidt in recognition of her contribution to promoting friendship and cooperation between the Vietnamese and Argentina people.

AVCI President expressed thanks to VUFO for always supporting cooperation activities between the two sides. She wished that the cooperation between AVCI and VUFO will become stronger, contributing to people-to-people diplomacy between the two countries in the coming time.
