Vietnamese culture day held in Egypt’s Damietta province
A Vietnamese culture day was held in Damietta province of Egypt by the Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt and the province’s authorities on November 15.

As part of a series of activities to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Egypt, the event featured a photo exhibition which highlights Vietnamese land, people, and traditional crafts.
Also, documents on Vietnamese culture, history, tourism as well as socio-economic achievements were introduced to Egyptian friends. Visitors to the day were especially enthusiastic about Vietnamese cuisine.
According to Vietnamese Ambassador to Egypt Do Hoang Long, as Vietnam is still little known of among Damietta people, the event is significant to help them gain a deeper insight into the Southeast Asian country.
He hoped that similar events will be held in other Egyptian localities.
Meanwhile, Governor of Damietta province Manal Awad Mikhail said that the event will make significant contributions to bolster cooperation and cultural exchanges between the two countries.
