The President welcomed the Kenyan official who represents Kenyan President William Ruto to attend the 4th Partnership for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G) Summit in Hanoi, saying that her presence at the event shows Kenya's strong commitment to development issues and contributes to the success of the summit.

For her part, Tuya expressed her honor to be appointed as a special envoy by Kenyan President William Ruto to attend the P4G Summit, and took the opportunity to hand over a letter from the Kenyan President to President Cuong praising the close relationship between the two countries and affirming that Vietnam is an outstanding development model.

Based on the political trust between Vietnam and Kenya, President Cuong proposed that both sides strive to realize huge potential in areas of mutual strength, particularly investment, trade, agriculture, and tourism.

Regarding defense cooperation, he suggested the two countries' defense ministries explore collaboration in defense industry, logistics, military medicine, and share experience in participating in United Nations peacekeeping operations.

On multilateral collaboration, the President asked Kenya to act as a bridge to support Vietnam in strengthening relations with the African Union (A.U.) and regional organizations of which Kenya is a member. Both sides should enhance the voice of developing countries as well as coordinate support each other at multilateral forums.

Tuya expressed her agreement with the host's proposals, saying that Kenya also wishes to serve as a gateway to promote bilateral trade as well as trade between Vietnam and the East African region. In the short term, she proposed that the two countries soon expand cooperation in the fields of defense-security, food security, social housing development, and universal healthcare.

On this occasion, President Luong Cuong invited Kenyan President William Ruto to visit Vietnam and thanked for his Kenyan counterpart's invitation to visit Kenya.
