Vietnam - Uruguay political consultation organized
PANO - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Quoc Dung and Uruguayan Deputy Minister of Foreign Relations Carolina Ache Batlle co-chaired the fourth Vietnam - Uruguay political consultation virtually on November 17.
During the event, the two officials shared the two countries’ situations and the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as steps to promote economic growth and ensure social welfare. The two sides also reviewed bilateral cooperation fields, discussed measures to further expand and deepen the Vietnam - Uruguay friendship and cooperation in the coming time.

To achieve these goals, both sides agreed to continue working closely together to facilitate high-level visits, effectively maintain the mechanisms of Joint Committee on Economic-Trade and Investment Cooperation, and political consultation between the two foreign ministries, while promoting collaboration between ministries, agencies, localities and businesses of the two countries in various forms.
The two deputy ministers agreed to promote concretization of cooperation in a number of potential fields, towards the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (1993-2023).
The two sides also discussed a number of international and regional issues of common concern, agreeing to continue coordinating views and supporting each other at international organizations and multilateral forums to which Vietnam and Uruguay are members.
