At the talks, the two leaders expressed delight at the effective development of the Vietnam-RoK strategic partnership over the past time. They also agreed on some important measures to promote trust and mutual understanding between the two countries as well as foster bilateral cooperation in the coming time in an effective and comprehensive manner.

Accordingly, the two sides will maintain regular high-level visits and meetings, beef up diplomatic, defense and security cooperation and boost cooperation on trade and investment to realize the set target of US$100 billion in bilateral trade by 2020.

Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam always treasures relationship with the Republic of Korea.

Meanwhile, Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak-yeon spoke highly of the significant achievements in relations between the two countries since the establishment of their diplomatic ties 26 years ago and affirmed that RoK attaches much importance to strategic cooperative partnership with Vietnam.

He vowed to instruct relevant agencies to well implement deals inked by the two countries, contributing to lifting Vietnam-RoK relations to a new height.
