Vietnam, India promote people-to-people friendship
PANO - Vice President and Secretary General of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) Don Tuan Phong and Secretary General of the Indian Society for Cultural Cooperation and Friendship (ISCUF) Bijay Kumar Padhihari signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation for the 2017-2022 period on July 10 in Hanoi.

According to the MoU, the two sides agreed on a number of cooperation events such as organizing activities to celebrate Vietnam – India friendship and cooperation; organizing seminars, workshops and exchange of delegations to seek further cooperation, promote cultural exchanges and tourism.
The cooperation aims to enhance exchange and mutual understanding between the Vietnamese and Indian people, as well as promote cooperation between the two countries in politics, economy, culture, tourism, science - technology and people-to-people exchange.
ISCUF, founded in 1941, is to develop cultural and friendly relations with other countries. To date, the organization conducted a number of activities in supporting peaceful, progressive and friendship with other countries, including Vietnam.
