She also spoke highly of the great efforts of MIU and Miguel Mejia himself, who is also Minister for Regional Integration Policies, in promoting the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and the Dominican Republic.

The VUFO president affirmed that VUFO attaches great importance to people-to-people exchanges between the two countries. As the core force in people-to-people diplomacy, VUFO will actively coordinate with the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Vietnam to implement activities to enhance mutual understanding and consolidate the good friendship and effective cooperation between the two countries’ peoples, she added.

For his part, General Secretary Miguel Mejia sincerely thanked VUFO President Nguyen Phuong Nga for the warm welcome, expressing his delight at coming back to Vietnam after the COVID-19 pandemic.

He highly appreciated the great achievements obtained by Vietnam over the past time, believing that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vietnamese people will reap more fruitful outcomes in the coming time.
