Russian National Day marked in Hanoi
PANO – A banquet to mark the 27th anniversary of the National Day of the Russian Federation (June 12) was held by the Russian Embassy on June 13 in Hanoi.

Present at the event were Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov, Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Konstantin Vnukov, and Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai.
Speaking at the banquet, Ambassador Konstantin Vnukov said that enhancing relations with countries in Asia-Pacific, including Vietnam, the most time-honored and trustworthy partner of Russia, is one of the priorities of Russia’s foreign policy.
Vietnam and Russia are maintaining regular political dialogues at different levels, the diplomat said, noting that President Tran Dai Quang will visit Russia in the coming time and President Vladimir Putin will attend the APEC Summit in November in Da Nang city.
The banquet also featured artistic performances of the Ural State Russian Folk Choir (from Ekaterinburg City) and an exhibition of the Russian Geographical Society themed “Most Beautiful Country”.
