Netherlands to help Vietnam with USD 2.34 million flood aid package
The Dutch Government will provide an aid package worth EUR 2 million (USD 2.34 million) for Vietnamese flood victims, Dutch Ambassador to Vietnam Elsbeth Akkerman said on November 4.
The fund will be channeled through the Dutch Relief Alliance that groups 15 non-governmental organizations.
The aid will help address urgent needs of the flood-hit residents, especially clean water, hygiene, food, necessities and cash, and enable them to start sustainable and flexible livelihoods.
